Diigo

What I like:  I like that it is like an online favorites.  So you can have your favorites on any computer you get on.
What I don't like:  It's a little confusing, especially at first.
What would I use it for:  Saving my favorite sites for when I get on another computer or go on a trip.
What I understand:  I understand its purpose and how to save bookmarks
What I don't understand: I dont know how it fully works.  It has other functions we haven't learned yet.

Reflection

I think everyone did really well.  They were all different and it was cool to see how similar things (interviews) could be used in different ways.  Such as Brittany's iMovie and Aspen's Comic life.  Everyone had a different direction to take this project and the outcome was pretty cool.

Projects

Hopefully Monday we can all share what we are planning to make.  I will go look at other people's blog posts and compare the work so far.
I will probably end up doing something extra.  Maybe a short paper about what the pictures in my project mean, and/or how they relate to technology.

Project

I am done with the projects.  I did two different projects because I thought I got done pretty fast.

Audio

When the movie is finished, or at least a few clips, it will be much easier to do audio.  Meanwhile, I will be a stand in for a few scenes.  Mostly just for fun, but they also need people so there's a lot being accomplished.

Act 5

After Romeo bought the Poison, he took it to Juliet's temporary grave at night with one of his servants.  He threatened him to go away once they were there.  Paris saw Romeo breaking into the tomb, and immediately assumed the worst.  Romeo insisted he not tempt him, but he could do nothing to stop a fight frim breaking out, ultimately ending with Romeo killing Paris.  Romeo drank the poison and died in Juliet's tomb, minutes later, she wakes up and sees him there, and kills herself.

The tragedy is the only reason the families made up and is an underlying message in the story.  It is a message that doesn't get talked about much, but I think should be.

Act 5 - so far

Romeo doesn't know she hasn't actually died and as a messenger in those times, I thought the messenger would've been killed or something.  Romeo then buys poison to take into the tomb and kill himself next to her.
I think dramatic music would be best, like the rising action in a movie before a bomb goes off, something like that.

Technology

I decided to do both Animoto and Juxio.
-Animoto is like an online poster
-Juxio is basically a moving slideshow
I am trying to get some pictures to show how far technology has come, and how it may change in the future

Friar

I dont know why Friar always helps people out during the story.  He seems to be there for people when they need them the most; Romeo needing a place to hide, Juliet needing answers for what she should do.  I think he is supposed to represent a greater good, always there when you need advice.

Audio & Act4 S1

Musopen.org has some great public domain music.  They have music from actual people uploaded and even some shakespeare orchestra renditions.  I suggest all audio members sign up for this and look for some songs to use.  Be sure to listen to the songs before you download, because you can only download 5 times per day.
Juliet is being forced into marrying Paris, but she would rather kill herself.  She talks to Friar about it and he offers a plan that they agree on.  The plan is to pretend she is dead by using a sleeping potion and Romeo will be there when she wakes up.

Act3 Scene1

Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio are walking down a road when they see Tybalt.  Romeo tries to calm him down, but a fight still broke out, resulting in Mercutio's death.  Tybalt leaves, then returns and fights Romeo.  Romeo kills Tybalt and leaves fearing a death penalty.  Later, the Prince finds out what happened and forces Romeo to leave the city.

Scenes 4 & 5

Scene 4
Romeo and some of his friends try to get into the party, but Romeo is a Montague and worries they won't get it, but they do.  Romeo refuses to dance, saying he was too heartbroken, but then he sees Juliet.  His perspective on everything changes as he goes to hold her hand.
Scene 5
Romeo and Juliet kissed and when he left, she asked who he was a figured out that he was a Montague, but she didn't care.

I think like hymn sounds would be good for both scenes

We have gone over a lot of social media.  We've learned almost all of the desktop programs and also a lot of websites such as Twitter, blogger, storybird, etc.
My favorite thing we've gone over is probably twitter and tweetdeck.  I never knew how to use tweetdeck so I thought that was cool.

Scene 4

Benvolio is trying to figure out what is wrong with Romeo by talking to him.  Romeo gives insight and tells him that he loves a woman who does not love him back.  Benvolio suggests that he forget about her and "go look at other beauties!"
For the audio I would use Lean On Me - Bill Withers
I would use this because Benvolio cares and wants to know  why he feels bad.

Scenes 2 & 3

Scene 2
They were trying to figure out what was causing Romeo to shut everyone out.  Romeo had been heartbroken from another girl and has locked himself in his room.
For the audio you could use a lot of songs.  Songs relating to heartbreak, break-ups or relationships would work best for this scene.

Scene 3
They plan a dance, and Paris believes this is when he will have his shot with Juliet.  Everyone is invited except the Montagues.  The butler is told to pass out invites, but can't read so he just hands them out.  Romeo got an invite and is expecting to go.
For the audio I would use an erie sound, not a whole song, to show how they purposely invited anyone but the Monatgues.

Scene 1

There are two families that don't like each other and some of those guys taunt a few people hoping they challenge them.  They come over and talk, then break out into a fight.  No one was really hurt.

The song I picked was Everywhere I Go by Hollywood Undead.  It gives a mood to their cockiness and has the inside joke they made as well.
